New to myproductstore: The My Farm Range
The My Farm range has been specially created for fruit and vegetable growers such as allotment holders, smallholders, market gardeners and professional contractors. Each product has been designed to solve your common growing problems and help you to improve both the health, quality and yield of your fruit and vegetables.
To help you to get the best growing results, we asked the My Farm technical team to share their hints and tips for how to use the following products in the range:

Ecofective Pro Root Enhancer
Ecofective Pro Plant Stimulator
Ecofective Pro Stress Reliever
Ecofective Pro Flower Promoter

Are there any weather conditions you should try and avoid using the products in?
It would be general good practise to not apply any products in extremes of hot or cold but generally the conditions we see in the UK (heat waves excepted) are ok for applications.
As both Ecofective Pro Root Enhancer and Ecofective Pro Plant Stimulator are soil applied, there are some restrictions as to when you should use each product. Ideally, you wouldn’t want the soil to be too dry or too wet. Having some soil moisture is beneficial for the product to move down into the rooting zone; if it's too dry it could just sit on the top of the soil. You wouldn’t apply to waterlogged soils as there is a risk of the product running off before it has had a chance to get to where it is most needed.

For Ecofective Pro Flower Promoter and Ecofective Pro Stress Reliever, the soil condition doesn’t have an impact as they are both foliar products i.e. applied to the leaves rather than the soil. One important factor you should consider is whether the leaves are wet or dry. If there is too much moisture on the leaves, then there is a high chance that the product will just roll straight off. As these products need to be sprayed onto foliage, they need to remain on the leaf for a period to allow the product to be absorbed by the plant. Therefore, it is best not to apply them when rainfall is forecast. Similarly, you do not want to apply the products if it is too hot as the product is at risk of evaporating before it has had time to be absorbed into the plant.

What is the recommended timing of each of the products?
For Root Enhancer and Plant Stimulator, we would recommend applying prior to planting your crops directly onto the soil surface or by spraying and incorporating into the soil profile.
Both of these products also have the flexibility to be applied as foliar sprays which has proven benefits in stimulating and enhancing root systems.
For Stress Reliever, you would use it to proactively avoid any stress events from having an impact on the crop. For example, extreme heat or dry conditions can cause plants to suffer from drought stress, so applying the product early should help to alleviate this.

Flower Promoter is mostly beneficial for fruiting crops or orchards so should be applied just prior to the crop flowering and then repeated right through to the start of the fruit ripening. As a general rule, it can be applied once every 7-10 days.

How do I use each product? Does it need to be diluted?
Each product needs to be diluted in water before it is applied. The ratio of feed to water will depend on which product is being used and where it is being applied. We recommend reading the label or specific product information for each product before you apply it to your crops.
In order for each of the products to be beneficial to your crops, you should make sure you apply a good even coverage to the soil or foliage and allow time for the product to absorb evenly.
